Pittsburgh Overpass Project

What is the project?
Pittsburgh Overpass Project is an independent group of volunteers (not run by Three Rivers) that is working to display impactful messaging at high visibility locations during high traffic around the Pittsburgh area. The point of the project is to cut through the news fatigue, disinformation, and general stream of chaos the Trump administration has created to distract and divide us, and get people to notice what's happening right in front of their noses.
The group regularly makes new signs, shares them with other groups, and is working to build this effort into something larger by helping others adopt their own bridges to help spread the word.
You can find their events on Mobilize

Hyper-local & easy expression of 1st Amendment rights
Everything this group does is nonviolent, ethical, and legally sound. This form of expression is protected by the First Amendment. Anyone wanting to get involved can make the effort easier by "adopting" an overpass in a location that is convenient to themselves and the group of people they pull together to help. Only two people are required for the orange signs in these pictures, but the more the merrier!
